Tour de France 2024, Soudal-QuickStep almost done around Remco Evenepoel

The Soudal-QuickStep selection for the Tour de France 2024 is taking shape. As is well known, at the Grande Boucle the Belgian lineup will be centered around Remco Evenepoel, who despite an injury sustained last month at the Tour of the Basque Country is already back in training and should be ready in time for the start of the transalpine GT, which will start next June 29 from Florence. Joining the Belgian in his first assault on the Yellow Jersey will most likely be the riders currently in training with him in Sierra Nevada, namely Mikel Landa, Yves Lampaert, Casper Pedersen, Gianni Moscon and Ilan Van Wilder, as well as Louis Vervaeke.

Of course, since the start of the race is a month and a half away, officialdom is still lacking, but according to what the team’s general manager, Patrick Lefevere, wrote in his weekly column in Het Nieuwsblad, the names should be these: “It’s no secret that the riders who are currently [in training] with Remco have a good chance of going to the Tour. With a special mention for Louis Vervaeke, who is not in Spain because he just became a father again.”
